From language teacher and licensed dog trainer to Customer Success leader, Giorgia shares how relationships, empathy, and curiosity power great customer experiences.

A cozy and dynamic start

Giorgia joined Nooga just over three months ago and describes her first impression with a smile: “Small and cozy, but very active and dynamic”, a team size that gives her freedom to move fast and make an impact.

As our first-ever Customer Success Lead, she values the freedom and agency to shape how Nooga connects with its customers and to build the foundation for customer success.

As the first Customer Success Lead at Nooga, my priority is getting to know our customers, understanding their needs and ambitions so we can build the best solutions possible.

Laying the foundations of Customer Success

Being the first in a function means starting with the basics. For Giorgia, that includes:

  • Organizing and consolidating customer information so it lives in the right places
  • Building relationships and mapping the customer journey end to end
  • Collaborating closely with Product to bring customer insights into roadmaps
  • Designing intentional touchpoints and cadences that feel natural, not forced

Ultimately, it’s about making every customer interaction clearer, more consistent, and more valuable.

Giorgia's path into tech

Before joining Nooga, Giorgia spent nearly six years working in the tech industry, focusing on customer relations and success. She admits she “fell into tech by chance” after teaching English but stayed intentionally because of its creativity and momentum.

I didn’t plan to work in tech, I fell into it by chance. But I stayed because it’s dynamic and creative.

Her unconventional background fostered the empathy, structure, and strategic thinking needed in fast-moving startups which she now bring to Nooga’s Customer Success team.

Collaboration in a startup

Nooga is a lean, fast-moving company, and that’s exactly what Giorgia enjoys most about working here. In a tight team, communication is constant, nothing is set in stone, and individuals can shape how things are done.

When the team is small, you can have a big impact. Everyone’s aware that communication is key.

Culture, with balance

Asked to describe Nooga’s culture, Giorgia calls it cozy and ambitious, a place that pairs drive with focus, where people work with purpose and energy, not burnout.

Intrinsic motivation matters here, and people bring their own drive while respecting a healthy pace.

Looking ahead: guiding a multi-product journey

Over the next year, Giorgia is excited to jumpstart deeper customer relationships and bring more intention to every step of the journey, especially as Nooga evolves from a single-product to a multi-product company.

“I’m excited to hold our customers’ hands as we evolve into a multi-product company and help them get even more value from Nooga.”

Fun facts about Giorgia

Outside of work, Giorgia is full of delightful surprises:

  • She’s a licensed dog trainer and still helps owners build better bonds with their pets.
  • She’s a dolphin nerd, loves to read, and enjoys getting creative with nail art.
  • Before tech, she taught English as a second language to students ranging from age five to retirees.

These unexpected skills reflect her curiosity, patience, and ability to connect, qualities that now shape how she approaches customer relationships at Nooga.

A Customer Success philosophy

Great customer success balances authentic relationships with commercial outcomes. That balance isn't always easy, and that's the point.

You need genuine, long-term relationships while also driving renewals and growth. The key is doing both sincerely.

Giorgia believes in bringing our true selves to work and adding a pinch of humour to the day-to-day hustle. We shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously because it blocks the creative juices and prevents us from being authentic at work. As she puts it, quoting Dolly Parton:

Find out who you are and do it on purpose.
